The Beaver Island Dark Sky Festival includes multiple stargazing opportunities combined with hands on learning sessions and informative seminars all lead by experts in the field. All events are open to the public without charge on a space available basis.

The Beaver Island State Wildlife Research Area International Dark Sky Sanctuary is a project of the Beaver Island Chamber of Commerce, the Beaver Island Community Center and the Beaver Island Association in cooperation with the Michigan Department of Natural Resources, Central Michigan University and DarkSky International.
