Description
This island has a long Native American history and is recognized in the Treaty of 1836 with Washington. A settlement once flourished from 1912 through the late twenties which was the site of a religious cult known as the House of David under the leadership of Benjamin Purnell. Fragments of this past can be found in foundation sites. You’ll land in a sheltered bay with a long spit on the east side of the High Island. This uninhabited island will provide a very special birding adventure.
